sustainable wood sunglasses also support eyesight surgery in india
Sustainable eye wear company, Proof, is on a mission to make sunglasses that have the “power to make a change in the world,” so states their press release. The unisex shades are made with sustainably sourced wood, including ebony, zebrawood, and bamboo–they have foldable sunnies, too. Take a look:
Proof claims to be “100% eco-friendly,” which translated means, they use sustainably sourced wood instead of plastic and they donate a portion of their profit to an eye clinic in India and a tree replanting initiative in Haiti. In addition, Proof offers “1 for 1′s,” which are foldable sunglasses. When you purchase a pair, they send a pair to a recent sight-surgery patient in India.
Proof runs a recycling program for their sunglasses, which means when the sunglasses have reached the end of their life cycle, they can be sent back to Proof where they will be recycled. Plus, you’ll get a discount on your next purchase, too.
